I remember the day like it was yesterday…I was in a neighborhood I couldn’t afford, in a house I couldn’t afford, up to my neck in debt…couldn’t afford to pay credit cards..let alone my mortgage. With a wife and 2 kids at the time, one just born..my wife came up to me around Christmas time and goes “Brady, we can’t afford Christmas presents this year” and that pierced me in the heart.
Here I am as the sole provider of my family..and can’t take care of them at all..I cried like a damn baby, the ugly cry kind. I thought in that moment, I can’t do this, I’m going to find a more stable job than sales.
After I had my moment though, I thought “#### this, I’m going to figure this out no matter what!”
That started my journey into learning how to crack the code of communication in sales...
During this journey I started studying the art of sales and psychology. I became OBSESSED with it actually, like psychopathic almost.
I would be that quiet guy in the background, just observing people…how people responded to situations, how people shut off, what got them excited, what got them engaged and so on.
I would implement what I was noticing in my own sales calls, testing a few things out…
...something didn’t work I would go “doh, not doing that again”! When something would work I would go “ok, putting that in my brain”! Until eventually I was at the top of my company around the world of 100+ sales reps for that company. Once I reached the top, I realized I wanted to make more impacts…
Fast Forward a few years and I realized I couldn't grow anymore in the current position I was at. I was capped out!
So I left the corporate safety net knowing I wanted to impact more people in the coaching world!
I quickly realized there was something behind actual strategies in sales. So I started investing into everything I could get my hands on, you name it...I've been through it.
Would you know it, when you invest into coaching and actually implement what you're learning, things improve!
But honestly, that's where the real obsession began, where I cracked the codes of sales and communicating through my investments..
I was just an average Joe at the time…selling pretty much the same numbers as everyone else virtually, and it was driving me nuts! I wanted to impact more people than anyone! Selfishly! hehe
That's when I started investing in training a bit differently...
